Mission Statement The members and officers of Tarrant County Right to Life join together with our fellow members, directors, and officers of Texas Right to Life in the defense of innocent human life. We seek due process of law and equal protection of the law for all human beings from the moment of fertilization until natural death and without regard to their age or physical and mental competence. Human life is a sacred gift of our Creator, and only He has the power to end human life. Our purpose is the furtherance and implementation of our view of human life. About Us Tarrant County Right to Life is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan organization. We pursue only lawful and peaceful means of educating the public and advancing the pro-life cause. We are firmly opposed to the use of civil disobedience, violence, disruptive demonstrations, and the inappropriate display of graphic pictures and/or other potentially offensive materials in the furtherance of these ends. Tarrant County Right to Life is concerned with the effects abortion has on both men and women. We do not condemn or belittle, in word or in action, women who have had abortions or men whose partners have had them. Rather, we welcome these people, who know firsthand the emptiness of pro-abortion rhetoric, to join in our fight. Tarrant County Right to Life does not take a position on capital punishment, contraception (except for contraceptives which cause abortions), “gay marriage,” or any other issue which does not bear directly on the protection of innocent human life through due process of law. As individuals, our members are concerned about many such issues, but sometimes have differing views on them. As an organization, however, we are committed to focusing our efforts on that in which we are united: the right to life of every individual should be protected by law and society. |
